My wife and I had always dreamt of building a New Home, we are so pleased we made the right decision when we went with Alena Homes Ltd. The team at Alena Homes gave us confidence right from the first meeting and that continued throughout the whole project, it was a fantastic experience. Helen and Lena-Jane always put us and our ideas, thoughts and vision first, we were encouraged to reflect ourselves in our home, we now know why as we believe they build Homes not houses!

We would be more than happy to go through the whole experience again and we could not have ask for a better company and personal team to work with on such a big project.

Tracey & I live on and run our dairy farm in Horahora 20km south of Cambridge. For many years we planned and wanted to build a homestead that would blend in with our Farm and our lifestyle. We saw an Alena Homes advert and contacted Helen. Helen was welcoming and listened to our needs; we visited many homes that she had built. Even though Helen has many different plans, we were pleased to find out that they were just the starting point of were we could take our own plans to build our own home.

Our decision to build with Helen was such a great move, the planning and preparation went smoothly and once building we were very happy with the tradesmen that were used on the build. Building went to time and most of importantly to price. Being able to build to the price meant a lot to us as so many people had warned us of that once your get building there is always bits added on here and there and the whole project blows out of proportion. With Helen the price was the price and any queries along the way were dealt with immediately.

We have been in our home for 3 years now and we would not have changed a thing. We are very proud of what Helen and Alena Homes have given us.

We heard of Alena Homes via the internet whilst looking for builders who specialised in character style homes. Alena Homes were the only company that appealed to us in the waikato area and they also had a very extensive range of character houses on offer which was fantastic to see. Helen and Lena Jane were fantastic in arranging for us to view the style of house we were interested in, which was the Taryn-Lee (the present owners of this home were also very happy with the house and would build again with Alena Homes - which was great to hear).

When the decision was made to build a new home, we visited many building firms and consulted with architects. We soon discovered that the two most important ingredients in the building process were the personnel that you deal with, and the design. What attracted us to Alena Homes was that they offered something different, and were impressed with the way they listened to us and understood our requirements. We felt very comfortable, not pressured into making decisions and that our home would be personal and individual to us.

The building process was smooth and any issues were quickly resolved with excellent communication. The end result is a home that we are very happy and proud to own and live in. Our home is very strong in structure, is our design, and reflects the way that we live and want it to flow. We have designed it so that it is future proof and it works to our every expectation.

In 2007 we signed up with Alena Homes to build us a Villa style home. The preliminary discussion was very helpful, thorough, and accommodating to our needs. All points about building and costs were clearly listed in the written contract and adhered to throughout the entire building process. We had an exceptionally great experience, building for the first time with Alena Homes. We had chosen to build with Alena Homes because they had a home in the style we loved and the plan was laid out in the way that suited our lifestyle and how we wanted to live. Tony and myself highly recommend building with them, as there was no stress dealing with any tradesmen as they took care of everything. The only stress for us was having to pick colours and fittings, which of course is out of their hands. Any issues (of which there were few), were resolved straight away. The team were easy to deal with, gave advice when needed, and overall just a pleasure to deal with.

We went to Alena Homes Ltd after a lot of looking around at different homes, and still came back to Alena homes as we liked their style. This is the first time we going to build a home. Not knowing what to do, Helen was a great help to us (talk about country hicks coming to town, not knowing a thing about building a home).

We talked to Helen and found her very very helpful and her knowledge was great as we had never built a home before. We picked out a plan, went home, pulled it to bits and made it into what we liked. Went back to Helen several times, she could not be more helpful. We finally settled on our house plan. Helen did a portfolio of the steps that would take place. It was very clear as each step went along.
